Announce Strategic Team Enhancements

Jean Vaillancourt, president of Gravure Craft and Vaella Consulting, is pleased to announce some key appointments in Ontario. Aleigha Murphy has been appointed as Sales and Account Manager for the GTA West and South Western Ontario for both Gravure Craft and Vaella. Meanwhile, James Allen will be assuming the additional duties of representing Gravure Craft in the GTA East and Eastern Ontario. Aleigha Murphy is a dynamic Sales and Account Manager recognized for her strategic thinking and strong interpersonal skills. Earning a Business Degree specializing in Marketing from Trent University, Aleigha graduated with honours, demonstrating her commitment to academic excellence and a solid foundation in the world of business. Her ability to understand client needs and deliver tailored solutions will positively contribute to her success. Aleigha's strategic mindset, coupled with her adept communication style, positively positions her as a multifaceted professional excited to build relationships within the industry. Aleigha’s dedication to excellence, combined with her passion for forging connections and commitment to growth, will lend itself to ensuring a standout professional in the world of sales and account management. Beyond her professional achievements, Aleigha finds joy in travelling and cherishing moments with her friends and family. This balance reflects her holistic approach to life and business, ensuring a well-rounded perspective in all endeavours. James Allen is an accomplished Sales and Account Manager with a strong academic foundation and a proven track record in the industry. He attended the University of Toronto and further honed his skills at Fleming College. With over a year of valuable industry experience, James demonstrated his expertise as a Sales Representative at Vaella Consulting, where he consistently fostered strong client relationships. He has enjoyed his experiences thus far and looks forward to forging new relationships in his expanded role. Beyond his professional pursuits, James spends his free time coaching hockey in his hometown community, utilizing his leadership abilities to mentor and guide young individuals. VAELLA CONSULTING ACQUIRES GRAVURE-CRAFT

Vaella Consulting Inc, the industry specialist in personalized funeral stationery, is pleased to announce the acquisition of Gravure-Craft Ltd. Family owned by the McCaffrey family and in operation since 1917, Gravure-Craft is a well-known staple in the funeral stationery and urn markets. “The time for transition had come and we were hoping to find what we felt was a great fit for the next ideation of Gravure-Craft. Vaella Consulting is a well-known Canadian company and we felt that was an important consideration,” according to David McCaffrey. Mark McCaffrey echoed those sentiments saying “After 44 years working for our family business, it is good to know that our family business will continue on under the new ownership of another family business who share the same values and passion for their business as we do.” Laura McCaffrey said, “We’ve been competitors since Vaella was founded 16 years ago but we’d always been friendly competitors, sharing challenges and supply issues during the pandemic.”

Jean Vaillancourt, President of Vaella says he’s thrilled that they’ve been able to conclude the transaction. “I’ve always had the utmost respect for the McCaffrey family and the brand that they’ve built. It will be business as usual for all Gravure-Craft clients with minimal disruptions as we expand, offer new products and services to each other’s client bases. I am confident that by implementing both companies’ best practices and manufacturing efficiencies, it will only be a win-win for everybody, especially our valued clients.”

Kelly Murphy, while new to the industry, brings a very strong operational background in the manufacturing and service sectors and will serve as the company’s Vice-President. “Being family owned, we’re hoping to continue the family feel and tradition that the McCaffreys have developed over the years and will be retaining every staff member. I look forward to working very closely with Laura McCaffrey in building new relationships with our team and existing clients, and forging friendships as I embark on this exciting new chapter,” she said.

Gravure-Craft is conveniently located on Jane Street near Bloor West Village in Toronto and has 15,000 square feet of manufacturing and warehouse space. Vaella Consulting is located in Alexandria, in Eastern Ontario and offers another 14,000 square feet. Combined, they have the facilities necessary to maintain ample stock levels and effectively supply the Canadian market. This transaction makes the group the largest manufacturer/supplier of stationery and paper products for the funeral service industry in Canada.
